What is Credit Card PPI?

Payment Protection Insurance is a policy sold alongside Credit Cards and Store Cards which is designed to cover you in event of sickness, redundancy or inability to work. Credit Card PPI is often very expensive.

Credit Card PPI is paid on a monthly basis, calculated at a price per £100 of the outstanding balance of your card. So even if you repay your balance in full, the insurance premium will still be payable based on your statement balance, as 'cover' has been in force for that previous month.

What do we mean by excessive charges?

If you have been charged more than £12 for exceeding your credit card limit or paying your credit card bill late in the last 6 years we can claim your money back with interest.

How will you know you have a claim?

The best way to find out is to look at a credit card statement. Many people don't even know they have PPI until they spot it on their statement! If you do not have a copy, then you can call your lender and ask for the account details.
